annual summer concert series
The Festival at Sandpoint
is
celebrating its 34th annual summer concert
series, August 4 - 14, 2016 with eight
nights of eclectic music under the stars, on the
shores of Lake Pend Oreille, in Sandpoint,
Idaho.
Since 1983, the non-profit Festival at Sandpoint
has hosted its internationally renowned summer
concert series in a casual and relaxed
atmosphere at Memorial Field, in Sandpoint,
Idaho. The Festival is audience friendly. It is
a customized concert experience without equal.
You can feast on fabulous food and beverages on
"Festival Street," or bring your own picnic
basket and cooler from home. You can stretch out
on a blanket, cruise in a lawn chair (bring your
own or rent ours), sit in the grandstands or let
loose in our dancing areas.

The Festival season culminates on Sunday, August
14 with the GRAND FINALE CONCERT: A MIDSUMMER
NIGHT’S DREAM featuring the SPOKANE SYMPHONY
ORCHESTRA, conducted by MAESTRO GARY SHELDON
with the return of the sensational jazz pianist
and composer Vadim Neselovskyi and two Sand
point natives Jason Moody (violin) and Hailey
Fuqua (soprano). The summer inspired program
includes Mendelssohn’s Overture to A Midsummer
Night’s Dream, Vivaldi’s Summer from the Four
Seasons, Strauss’ Voices of Spring Waltz,
Gershwin’s Summertime, and Tchaikowsky’s Waltz
of the Flowers from the Nutcracker. Festival
fans are also in for a special treat, the world
premiere of Season’s Suite by Vadim Neselovskyi
who was a huge hit at last year’s Festival.
Our traditional fireworks finale, made possible
by Avista Utilities, will close The Festival at
Sandpoint’s 34th season in spectacular fashion.
Gates open early at 4:30 PM for the annual
“Taste of the Stars” Wine Tasting, the largest
wine event of its kind in the state of Idaho.
The wine tasting is complimentary for all
concert goers over the age of 21 years. Concert
starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $39.95 for
adults, $10.95 for youth 0 - 18 years. |
